As the Crow Travels
A crow travels on a straight diagonal path for 5 miles. Driving in a car on a grid system, you can only travel north, south, east or west. All of the streets in the grid system you are on have intersections exactly one mile apart. Can you devise a strategy to find routes that you can take so that you drive exactly twice the distance the crow flies, but you both start at the same spot and end up at the same spot? Then try by driving three times the distance the crow flies. Then by four times the distance. Explain your solution.
