Equal Sides

A is a point on one side of a quadrilateral. Is it possible to find points B, C, and D on the other sides of the quadrilateral, such that AB = BC = CD = DA? Is there more than one position of A?

In the picture, the quadrilateral is a trapezoid. Does the quadrilateral have to be a trapezoid for such a relationship to occur?
