Land Dispute

A dispute over land occurs between Squaresville and Centerville. Both towns claim to have rights to a certain square area. Their dispute is about a plot of land that appears to be shared by 1/ 16 of each of their areas. Construct possible regions for Squaresville, Centerville, and their intersection. How could you resolve this dispute?
