Globs
On a grid of a coordinate plane, plot 10 “globs,” each one just large enough to cover three lattice points (the intersections of the grid lines). Have a partner write the equation for a function whose graph he or she thinks will touch as many globs as possible. Once the function is written, graph it to see how many globs really are crossed over, or “smashed.” Take turns until all of the globs have been “wiped out.” Keep score by recording the total number of globs you hit each time. Note: once a glob has been hit, it cannot be counted again.
